Team Earls Court started alongside racing legend Fabio Buzzi who went on to take line honours in his classic 'Red FPT'. Commenting after the race James said, “Jeff and I will never forget racing alongside Fabio Buzzi as we ran down the Solent from Cowes. We might have been in the smallest boat, but we certainly made an impression and Fabio looked slightly puzzled when he saw us running alongside to him! We pushed our Honda powerboat to the limit and averaged 52.89 mph over a longer course than we normally race on. The engine performed superbly and the experience has set us up for what is set to be a very exciting climax to the F4SA series on the Isle of Man from 13th 14th September.”
After winning the Cowes/Torquay seconds ahead of Mario Invernizzi, Fabio Buzzi congratulated the pair and said, “I think the Honda F4SA powerboat series is an excellent class and very well organised. It does a great job for promoting the sport of powerboat racing.”
Team Earls Court are currently in 3rd place overall and are facing stiff competition from Team Purple, Team Williams and Spirit of Octane who all have their eye on 3rd place, while Drainstore and Salcombe Racing are out in front in 1st and 2nd positions.
