The series celebrates its 10th Birthday in 2009 and have produced the new wall calendar to coincide with the anniversary and to help raise money for the charity that provides respite and end of life care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions.
Lizzie Pickering, Events Manager at the charity was pleased when the Honda backed series approached her with the idea. Honda has supported Helen & Douglas House since 2000 with the Helen & Douglas House Powerboat Challenge which they have always sponsored. “We have a wonderful relationship with Honda Formula 4-Stroke who are loyal and generous supporters – it is not only the money they have helped to raise but also the ripple effect of contacts and on-going raising of awareness about Helen & Douglas House, through Honda UK, Steve Curtis and all the powerboat teams.”
Management at Honda are even going the extra mile to help raise money for Helen and Douglas House. Paul Ormond, Head of Corporate Press and PR will be running in the Flora London Marathon in April. "Even though I've done this before, Helen and Douglas House is a cause close to my heart and you can really make a difference so please dig deep and sponsor me on justgiving.com/paulormond. Every little adds up!" said Paul.
Retailing at just £10, the new calendar is set to make fantastic stocking fillers for motorsport enthusiasts. It will also be available to buy at the Sail, Power & Watersports Show at Earls Court 26th – 30th November where the Honda series will be exhibiting on their stand (G70).
